Running a scan

SecureAnywhere Mobile automatically scans your device on a weekly basis. If you want to scan your device immediately, tap Scan for Threats Now in the main panel. When the scan completes, tap Finish to view the overall system status:

  • Last scan. Shows the date and time of the last scan. If a scan hasn't run in more than 7 days, the status icon is yellow.
  • Shields. Displays "ON" if all shields are enabled. If one or more shields are disabled, a yellow icon appears along with a Fix button. To turn on all shields, tap Fix.
  • Auto-update. Displays a green icon if both scans and threat definitions are scheduled for automatic updates. If they are not scheduled, a yellow icon appears along with a Fix button. Tap Fix to return the schedules to their default values (every week for scans; daily for definition updates).
  • "USB Debugging" setting. (Premium/Complete versions only.) Displays "SAFE" to show that the Android device's USB Debugging setting is in a "safe mode," which means it will prevent the USB port from communicating with a computer.
  • "Unknown sources" setting. (Premium/Complete versions only.) Displays "SAFE" to show that the Android device's Unknown Sources setting is in a "safe mode," which means it will not allow application installations from outside the Android Market.
